As Pride celebrations begin around the world, Marbella Salon would like to take this opportunity to show where we stand in this fight for equality.
Located in the heart of Montrose, right down the street from the famous rainbow crosswalk, we are proud to support our diverse community, including those that have identified themselves as gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgendered or gender non-confirming.
However you choose to identify or whomever you choose to love, we support you.
How Can You Celebrate Pride Month?
In-person events have been given the green light this year, so that means Pride Month in Houston will be celebrated in a big way. Below are just a few events we'd like to highlight so you can join in on the celebrations too!
This year, local businesses and organizations will be showcasing their products at Karbach's market. Come out, have a beer, and celebrate with us at Karbach. Pride-themed glassware and a live DJ will also be at this free event.
The Pride Run is Houston's first intentionally LGBTQIA inclusive 5k walk and run, dedicated to bringing Houston together to have fun, be active, and celebrate and support our diverse community.
Hardy & Nance Studios is hosting a Pride Art Show featuring artists in and around Houston. The call for submissions is open until June 3.
All genders, all sexualities, all skill levels, all races welcome. For just $5, play some dodgeball and meet new people. Anyone ages 20 and up are welcome to join.
As the heat begins to get unbearable, join us for a Pride Pop Up Pool Party. The event will be benefitting Baewatch X Salvation, the hottest official LGBTQ+ Pool Party.
We are excited to see you all there, and although the pride parade is still up in the air due to COVID-19, we hope you all can continue to enjoy Pride Month safely.
